Viacom-owned Comedy Central is launching its first original cartoon for mobile, giving porn star Jenna Jameson the lead role in a series called Samurai Love God.

The 8x2.5' series (left) will make its debut sometime during the present quarter and Comedy Central expects to follow this with an array of similar ventures in the mobile space.

Jameson, along with Daily Show correspondent Ed Helms and comedian Lisa Lampanelli, will voice the main characters in Samurai Love God, which is described as being set in a distant and erotic land where the ancient secrets of seduction are passed down through the generations.

Comedy Central's senior VP of original programming and development Lou Wallach said the series was "the first of many mobile talent deals we look forward to announcing."

The venture into original mobisodes is Comedy Central's latest foray into digital media following the unveiling of the network's original broadband programming slate earlier this year

Porn star Jenna Jameson will lend her voice to a new Comedy Central first ever animated series delivered to mobile phones. Entitled "Samurai Love God" it will also star "The Daily Show" correspondent Ed Helms.

Two things surprise us about this:

1) This seems to be the first Comedy Central project doesn't involve Adam Carolla.

Another ClubJenna production, “Jenna Loves Pain,” in which she starred, was given the award for Best Specialty Release-BDSM while “Jenna Jameson Is the Masseuse” was cited as Best Renting DVD. It had been chosen as Best Film in the 2005 ceremony.
